- Resources must be at least 75% authored and 100% commissioned in Australia.
- Resources must demonstrate the judging criteria of Educational rigour i.e. show curriculum alignment and capacity to assist with achievement of learning outcomes (as well as meeting the other judging criteria).
- A resource entry may include student-focused resources only, or a mixture of student and teacher resources (For teacher only resources, see the Teaching Resource category).
- A resource may include content and components for single or multiple year levels.
- If the resource is part of a series, it can only be entered in a single year.
- Any resource package may be entered, including a print resource such as a picture book or chapter book, with or without a supporting teacher book, a digital only resource (including but not limited to a website, CD/DVD or app, which may also include printable components), an enhanced eBook, or a blended learning resource (print and digital in any combination).
Primary: Student resource – arts/science/humanities/social sciences/technologies/health and physical education

Primary: Teaching or Reference Resource
- Resources must be at least 75% authored and 100% commissioned in Australia.
- Resources must be designed primarily for use in Australian educational settings.
- A Teaching Resource entry is a product, product series or series component developed explicitly for educator use only.
- A Teaching Resource entry may include works that support an educator’s professional learning or enables and supports the use of a published title or series.
- A Reference Resource entry must be a product used as a true reference throughout a period of learning. It must not be a core classroom text, workbook or program based website.
- If the Reference Resource is part of a series it can only be entered in a single year.
- Any resource format may be entered, including a print resource, a digital only resource (including but not limited to a website, CD/DVD or app, which may also include printable components), an enhanced eBook, or a blended learning resource (print and digital in any combination).
- Examples of teaching resources include teacher reference books, teacher editions, professional learning books, black-line master books, website, app or CD/DVD that services educators only.
- Examples of reference resources include dictionaries, subject based dictionaries, thesauruses, atlases, English language handbooks (formats may vary).
